Damn. Finally the pics. Kevin, that thing looks so damn good dude. I may have to follow in your foot steps on with the 80 series wheels. Those suckers make that truck look sharp! I've always thought they look so good on 60s. Perhaps when I am finally able to do my rear disc conversion I will make sure I can fit a set of those wheels. Probably get some nice hot a$$ with those wheels all blinged up...! :D

Congrats dude. BTW, you're not welcome to pimp that ride in Utah...cause you'd be stealin' my show! :flipoff2: :flipoff2: (Ya, me and my fake e-lockers...)

Oh ya, trust me on this one dude: GET SOME SHOCKS ON THAT BIYATCH ASAP!!! It will make a WORLD of a difference in the handling. Ya, anit-sway bars will make a good difference too, but unless you're haulin a$$ around corners around town, shocks will work really well to help it not feel so squirly. Just make sure and get some nice heavy shocks for sure. It will also help save your springs from going gay like mine did...

LOL, trust me, you will most likely never see me in Utah! :flipoff2: :) Isnt Moab in Utah? On that case, you MIGHT see me there, but not likely! :D

Also, I love the 80 series wheels and had a set on my tacoma and a set on my older 4Runner. The only problem is that the 16" MTR's (315-75-16) are F-ing expensive! The wheels are kinda tricky to fit! I needed the IFS hubs in the front and they worked great! However, the rear is way narrow and i need either 2" spacers (on each side) or to swap in my 80 series ASAP! As for getting some nice hot ass with my bling as you suggest, once my nice hot ass sees these blings, she is probably going to flip out and throw me out of the apartment, we'll see! At least i got a big wagon i can sleep in! :D

Thanks again for all the help and advice guys!

Congrats!

Thanks Bob, also a huge thanks to you, as you gave me much advice through this conversion! Seems like i am suffering the same problem as you with the front leafs as well. What leafs did you ended up adding for an add a leaf?

Thanks

Inless your front springs are super soft I would just get a set of man-a-fre add-a-leaf LONGS to keep it from getting to stiff, But figure it out after ya get the shocks on...and lis to Ferg get some stiff ones rated for trucks with big asses. Nice works bro and your knuckles make me sick :)

I got a set of the Man A Fre long Add a leafs that i pulled out of the truck. I think they have too much lift to install back into it in the front. No? Has anyone done this? They look quite a bit thicker then the stock springs! And yes, they front springs are SUPER soft!

Why do my knuckles make ya sick?

Yup. I did. I've got long add-a-leafs in every spring pack on my truck. It'll raise it up a bit for sure. But supposedly should settle after some good use. I've yet to really use mine enough...

Dude,

How come I have never seeing you driving around?? Probably cuz I've been surfing you and have been working on your 60 :flipoff2: That looks sweet!! If I see you drving around I'm going to pull you over!! I've out in La Mesa area but always in PB/LJ catching some waves. I need to check out your rig.

so you used stock 62 springs, is that right?

Was wondering the same thing?? What is the reason for that?

often time people use stock springs because they are soft for a better ride and provide no addtional lift. Using aftermarket lift springs push the overall lift with SOA toward the 8" mark which is high for some, especially for a dd.

did you put an add-a-leaf in the rear already?

Looking great. I just installed my 4 runner calipers and cut and turned axle and love it. Big improvement all around.

Nice looking rig!!

Well, up until this weekend, it drove so F-ing s***ty that i never drove it! You might be seeing it someday, if ya wanna meet up and go wheeling or something, but i probably wont go pimping it in PB or Lajolla at any surf spots! Thats all i need is to get arrested for slicing some crackheads throat open for messing with my junk after putting all this hard work into it! No thanks! :D What kinda rig you got? I dont recall seeing any cruiser around the surf spots!

Looks awesome man, once you get the shocks and stuff on there, you think it would handle good enough on the road to be a dd? that concern is the only thing stoppong me from doing an SOA, but hardly :)

so you used stock 62 springs, is that right?

Not sure if it would handle good enough to be a DD but i am sure with some easy tweaking it could be made too! Its not the quality of the ride that keeps me from making it a DD, its the MPG's man! I got a civic DX that gets 38-42mpg and that is my DD and will remain as such for a long time!

Yes, i used stock 62 springs! At least i am pretty sure that is what they were!
