This is one of the few sure hall passes that I will get for quite some time. Anyone down for a day (at least it will be a day trip for me, others should camp if can) trip somewhere here in SoCAL. I don't really have any suggestions other than the usual: Big Bear, Anza, Miller Jeep, etc. I am just looking to get out and take some pics of my rig in the dirt/on the rocks/etc. Seeing everyone else's are making me jealous! BTW Father's Day is Sunday June 17th. I will miss out on the meet and greet the Wed. before at Fudpuckers. Hopfully some of you can make both.

Who's in? Where do you vote to go?

Smit

Miller!

btw..my vote is for john bull/holcomb...since I have never run either and the last report came back so positive.

Smit

Put my name on the list, although I'm not positive I can make it yet.

I also vote BB. I've never run anything up there.

Reid

I don't care where it is, I will do my best to go.

I am up for big bear , its close for me...

Alright guys it's not getting any cooler. I'm still up for another run this season. Although this is a little further than my rig likes to go, I may still be up for it. Not being familiar with the area, my vote would lean towards cooler temps and difficult trails:D. I need to know if ya'll are still planning to go out this weekend as I have to start making arrangements.

I may be able to make a run. I have a few more PM's to do to the new rig before I take it out, but I would love to head out.

Yea, Sunday the 17th. Day run for me. I wish I could camp sat. night. Big Bear John Bull and/or Holcomb is the plan at the moment. I would really like to run John Bull.

Smitty-

I would avoid Holcomb and John Bull that weekend, you might run end to a log jam. There is an IE4W event staging in the Snow Valley parking lot. 250 rigs and it's sold out. There will be several 25 vehicle runs planned for Saturday and Sunday on your favorite trails. In addition Adventure 4x4.net will also be having our "Mountainfest" and plan to run Holcomb and John Bull Saturday and Sunday but with only 6-7 vehicles. Everyone is welcome to join us but just wanted to let you know about the possible crowds. Hope you all have a Happy Fathers Day.

Well then back to the drawing board. I do need to keep it to a day trip for me. I guess that leaves miller's, cleghorn or anza somewhere (although 1 day in anza is just a big tease). I guess I will have to take what I can get.

any votes?

Smit

Stan and I have done Anza for the day - it makes for a long day. Lower Coyote is closed for the summer.

Maybe we should get a group together and reserve a tee time. A crowded golf course will be cheaper and more enjoyable and take less time than a crowded trail. Anyone up for golf? There are a few courses in Long Beach that are fun to play. I imagine we will need to call and reserve a time ASAP. The jacked up Father's Day rate for Sunday morning will prob. be around $50 w/ cart.

I'd be in for a round of golf Smitty. I can certainly come up that way.

Room for 3 more for one group (I know Rec Park in Long Beach will send off 5 in a group...pace of play is suprisingly not that bad either).

ok so I really wanna wheel. Anyone up for aday trip to Truckhaven and maybe run something else that day too?

Smit

Yes. Where's truckhaven? I wanna try my rig out nd introduce it to dirt..
