I bought this '72 a month ago and I've been working feverishly on it to make it road worthly due to some of the PO's non engineering mods. Today was mine and my familys first outing other than just around the block type of drive. What started off as cruise on some back roads around town wound up becoming a 100mile trip to the mountains. .

What a blast we had. This Pigg was bought to drive while the '68 gets closer to being road worthing. Neither of us have ever had the pleasure of experiencing "Piggness" in it's true greatness. I guess you can say the Family that Piggs together stays together.

SOA with well worn 37's, 78 2f and 4spd, Hydro boost power brakes, power steering, Mini truck disc conversion with Hysteer.

pig looks like it has little to no rust

These are some of the small spots that I can find. All of the body supports, rear corners, rain gutters dont have any rust to speak of. Must be that NASTY school bus yellow scaring the metal termites away .

Another mountain road trip with the Family.
We had company this time for the 200 mile trip. A topless '70, F, 3spd, 35's. What a Blast we had coming down the 13% grade.

I've been BS'ing about doing exactly that to my trail pig for years. I've seen some examples and some photochops' but that is exactly how mine would look-and gives me inspiration...

I can get some better pic's if you want. The PO said it was BAD rusty on the top but if you look at the rest of the body it makes ya kinda wonder. Personally I don't think it was that bad but.....................
