Wipers....

I took apart the motor and cleaned up the armature, greased the end bushings and used electrical cleaner throughout. Then I pulled the linkage and greased the moving bits. Worked like a champ.

I'll look into it, I'm been poking around from time to time without any luck.
they were working but blowing fuses, then for a week or so were totally fine. then all of a sudden, wont even take a fuse without blowing it. but it doesn't blow the fuse if the engine is off. any tips?

If heading up to the airport doesn't end up happening, you are welcome to drop by my place 1:30-3:30 this afternoon. I'm at 772 Ralph St. which is right on the Swan Lake Nature sanctuary just off McKenzie Ave in Victoria. Just call ahead: 250-391-0951. I'll be working in my shop on some stuff at the same time and could give you a hand. I've got all the tools etc. here.

Thanks nick. Sounds good.

So we worked on the 60 wipers narrowed it down to a short somewhere on the power wire off the fuse box under the dash. However it was too far into a harness to actually find today. So we wired the wipers up to a switch on the dash. Add it to the list of things that have gone manual on that 60 :hillbilly:

I got most of the rear wheel wells cleaned up. Rob showed up, with beer , and we got into my FF which has been holding down
my work bench for far too long. Using big fire from tiger torch we got the drums off and realized it is 4:10's. Since I had issues with
the rustproofing goop, I didn't get it sprayed in and the truck is still on axle stands. So I will not make tomorrow.
I will finish the spraying and paint tomorrow.
Sorry, next time. J

More manual = more reliable

Thanks again for the help, been putting that off too long!
Ready for tomorrow!

Bad news guys, just had an oil line blow off where it comes into the filter, there's oil everywhere.
Looks like tomorrow is out the door for me....

Checking your gauges, never a bad idea

Sorry to hear man, that sucks. Hope your engine is ok and you caught it in time.

Got it started without a hitch
New oil and a hose clamp to limp it home where she'll stay until I can get a new hose

Incredible run. Didn't even take a single pic, but can't wait to see the pics others got.
