Looks like a good day, Nick. I got out for a run today in wild Orlando - Bass Pro Shop! Saw a stuffed bear!! And some
redneck walking around with an 18" alligator wrapped in electrical tape that people could touch! ooooh!
I can't wait to get home!

Heh, that's pretty funny Jon. There's nothing like home; especially compared to the southern us.

Nice find Nick.

Thanks Cam.

Hey All, please see the updated run details in the first post. Please confirm if you can make it!

I'll be along with one passenger.

Also, a good friend of mine from work (machinist) who lives in Sooke is interested in joining for at least part of the run in his Isuzu Trooper. He is the one that found the first part of the bypass we will be using. You guys mind if he joins us? Not a cruiser, but at least it's Japanese...haha.

I'll be there. depending on rain haha. Having no windshield wipers has been known to be less than favourable

It'll probably be raining at least part of the day from the look of things. Whats up with your wipers? Any chance you'll have time to work on it tomorrow? Had I known earlier in the week I would have given you a hand sorting it out... Maybe still could, but tomorrow is super packed for me with family stuff and prepping for the run, so it'll be really tight.

I'll look into it, I'm been poking around from time to time without any luck.
they were working but blowing fuses, then for a week or so were totally fine. then all of a sudden, wont even take a fuse without blowing it. but it doesn't blow the fuse if the engine is off. any tips?

Not sure I'm going to make it, I've gotten involved with painting inner wheel wells and undercoating in preparation
of trip to Calgary, and all that road salt.
Seem to have a buggered up window regulator, drivers window of course.

I'd start at the motor. Start unpeeling electrical tape and following wire.
The other easy start is take the housing off the steering column, and check those wires
too. There are rheostats under the dash just behind and above the fuse panel for the intermittent wiper and they are a cheap piece of garbage giving lots of people grief. Did the wipers ever work properly?

Heh... last time me and GSB troubleshot wipers we where halfway across canada in the worst thunderstorm I've ever seen... we got wet enough and just ran a wire from the fuse box out the door and into the wiper motor... sadly it's still there :D ... although I added a switch :p

Thanks man I might have to take you up on that!
Sounds good, it's a hanger on the north side of the airport. Mills rd

So you added a switch, but the wire still goes out the vent on your kick panel?
That's bad even for you:flipoff2:
I assume the switch dangles under the dash no less?

Last time my wipers quit i untied my shoelaces and tied one to left wiper arm and one to right. Shoelaces came through the side windows and i would pull the left then the right. Worked better with someone riding shotgun.
