Hi all,

I promised I've searched the forum and am not coming up with anything definitive. Also, my local Toyota dealer has not proved helpful on this one. I'm taking off the running boards and am thinking about putting on front mud flaps. Are factory ones available? Any leads on part number or sourcing them?

Thanks!

Mark

Did this exact same thing to my 06 LX a few years ago, looks great. Here are the numbers you'll need
Mud Guard Left=7662260070, Right=7662160080
Bracket Left=7664260020, Right=7664160020
Got mine from Lexuspartswebsite.com, check out the exploded parts view from whatever site you order from, you'll see clips listed. I ordered those and they didn't work for some reason, had to source different fasteners from my local dealer as I recall. Not a big deal, this is a very worthwhile change, let my know how it goes.

You have an LX, which is a different set up than the LC, so it will not work for OP, if he has an LC.

Nope, Just checked a Toyota parts site, shows the exact setup I described, this will definitely work for him.
The LX and LC front mud flaps are entirely different designs, so if the part #s you posted are for the LX as you mentioned, then they will not work for a LC, if OP has one. He has not yet specified LC or LX, though I'm gonna guess it's a cruiser.

Dude, If you know so much about the mudflap design why didn't you help him out in the first place? I hate to break it to you, but it's the same truck, especially if he's got AHC. Anyway, the part numbers for the brackets are the same on the Toyota site, the actual flap part numbers differ on the last two digits, left 60 vs 70, right 70 instead of 80. It's the same part. Now lets let him decide if he wants to pull the trigger. And he did specify LC originally.

LC:
Driver flap: 76622-60060
Pass flap: 76621-60070
Driver bracket: 76642-60020
Pass bracket: 76641-60020

LX:
Driver flap: 76622-60070
Pass flap: 76621-60080
Driver bracket: 76642-60020
Pass bracket: 76641-60020

I did help him out. I posted 2 links to articles that contained the info he needed. He claimed he didn't find anything searching, so I helped explain how he could simplify his future searches. If no one searched and everyone just posted every question they had, this forum would be cluttered and repetitive.

They are not the same vehicle in means of the mud flap, due to the LX having lower body cladding and the LC not. The p/n's above show that.

I can see you are new and suggest you reconsider the tone. This is an informative forum meant for people to help each other and is a collection of some very great minds. Even some of the wisest on the forum have to be corrected and mostly all of us move on with the gained knowledge. I never meant to offend you, only meant to post the correct information, but with that being said, hope I didn't hurt any feelings and welcome to mud!

Not new, joined in 07, just haven't posted much. Anyway, I think you'll agree that between the two of us he now has more than enough information to get his mudflap project off the ground. Cheers

DirtDawg and loop737, I appreciate the help from both of you, not just with respect to the parts needed but also the advice on conducting more effective searches of the archives. Indeed, I have a non AHC LC. Definitely gonna get the parts and delete the running boards. And I will get more proficient with my searches moving forward!

Thanks dirt dawg! I may do this now that i got the part numbers!

Thanks loop. You put an effort out there and there is no shame in admitting your error and owning the situation.

@Mark Gavin - go ahead and update your signature with some information about your vehicle. This will help people help you.

Thanks SmoothLC. Signature updated, though it is not very interesting given I am completely stock!

Ya, I totally missed Dirt Dawgs link to the Toyota part numbers, and I was out of line in my response to this post. I hope there's no hard feelings here because this is a GREAT site.

No harm, no foul. It's all good!

Bringing up an old thread.
Just sold my 1999 LC and found a set of OEM front mud flaps with brackets in my garage (had them on for 2 months without wheeling off road before I got my MT sliders)
I found out that there isn't much room in front of the MT slider to mount the OEM flaps without trimming, but could work well with other brands.
Cheers!!
