F Offenhauser Intake- 4bbl

Just won a new Offenhauser dual plane intake manifold, 68-74 F motor on Ebay, new plans mean I don't need it anymore. Made for 4 bbl carb (normally a holley).

$100 shipping included.

Why would this not fit a 2F, I have used the intake from a 76 2F on a 73 F???

The factory exhaust manifold bolts to the intake on an F with 3 bolts, on a 2F with 5.

If you're running a header, it's not an issue.

I'm just relaying what the Ebay auction said.

I asked the same question. When I recieve it, I can try it out on a 2F if that would make a difference to someone.

Those last two bolts are on the ends. They have nothing to do with the intake.

It will work on a 2F

Looks like you picked it up for $76 and then shipping is $14.95, that's $90.95. If all of ebay only wanted to pay $90 for it why are you charging your brothers here on mud $100?

As near as I can figure, now I'm just a dumb old country boy, so I could be wrong, he has $90.95 in it, he offered it shipped for $100 if shipping is $14.95 he is losing $5.80

For anybody considering a TBI swap these are great manifolds and adaptors from Holly to TBI are cheap and short!

Agreed, he has to pay shipping twice on it but whoever buys it has to pay $9 more than he did originally.

Uh.. NOPE.. They are no-where near that much! I paid about $200 + or - some new from summit racing for mine about 4 -5 years ago.. I have no idea where everyone gets their prices on some of this stuff but if your paying $475 for a new intake you can buy 2 of em.. But anyway.. $100 is a fair price on this intake, I had to wait about 3 months for my last one to come in from Summit..

Not the dual plane. Green73 had to have the manifold machined down quite a bit to get a Holley throttle body to fit. You're thinking of the 'C' series.

I'm not obsessed with busting his chops, why are you obsessed with defending him? He seems to be able to defend himself fine. or is it just an obsession with busting my balls? I just asked a question as to why it would be worth more here than it was on ebay. It's a reasonable question. I do think that $100 is a fair price, but maybe I'm just too nice, I would have sold it for what I paid for it not counting the shipping and then had the buyer pay actual shipping costs.
