Nice work! Makes my interior restore look a bit redneck for sure.

I was thinking the same thing!!!

JPEG, where did you get that hood liner? Mine's falling apart and I'm going to be in need of a new one soon. Great job on the resto BTW. Looks amazing!

hood liner is original. it's in good shape but i think the pic makes it look better than it is ;)

Ok, cool. I guess I'll try the dealership when i get around to replacing it. I'm making a list of things I'm gonna need from the dealership, cause I'm gonna bring my 60 to the one it was originally sold at. I found out on the toyota owners site that it was first sold at a dealer just 10 miles from my house! :D

Finally got around to installing the wheel well covers from sor. I wasn't originally planning to replace them but after I did the seats the wheel wells looked so shabby I just had to do them ;)

The Sister of the Immacualte Interior must have blessed that cruiser!

Beautiful!

The paint is a color I have not seen before and it is great!

You should be very proud.

Now, you have motivated me to do something abount my dog chewed and clawed upholstry and the moldy carpet. Steel tractor seats and astroturf.

Nice! That completes the look, what's next?

i think the next thing i'm going to do is have stereo controls added to the steering wheel. i found a local shop http://www.cncautosports.com/ that does all sorts of custom interior work. then i'll have to take a break for awhile, my pockets are almost empty

Jpeg, your interior is exactly where I'm going. Well done sir. Do you know what brand of seat-heater was installed? Very clean with the switch placement on the console! Also, would love a little more detail on the sleep/storage system if you ever get around to it.

thank you! i did not install the seat heaters, http://www.torfab.com/ did so check with him. impressed you noticed the rear-heater switch move to the console! i've always thought it made more sense there so when torfab installed the seat heaters i had him move the switch.

i've been meaning to do a separate thread on the sleep/storage system for some time now. it's a pretty simple system but it was the execution that makes it so slick. give me another month and then nag me again :grinpimp:

What model # pioneer and how do you like it? Like that it fits flush and doesn't stick out any.

pioneer avicx930. in-dash navigation av receiver w/ 6.1" touchscreen display. it can play dvds (which i have yet to do) and the nav system works very well (though i rarely use it.) i mostly bought it for the sound quality (awesome!) aesthetic appeal (fantastic!) iPod integration and bluetooth.

well i just had my windshield polished. i have the the original windshield in my truck and at 23 years old it was getting a little hazy with all the hard water spots (which don't come out with regular cleaning.) i know some people replace the windshield for this reason but since it was the original i didn't want to risk the high chance of it leaking.

i had read up enough on windshield polishing to know that it would make a difference but was not willing to tackle it myself. i was having trouble finding anyone who would do the work but finally found a high-end detail shop near me (Park Place Auto Salon - Auto detailing | Car wash | Auto restoration in Bellevue - Auto detailing and mobile car wash in Bellevue WA) who would do it. the cost was $125.00 and the results are fantastic, huge difference in visibility! i highly recommend getting it done

...here are some pics of the custom sleep/storage system i built a few years ago. i have more pics of the construction of the sleep/storage system and can post those up if requested.

I would be interested in seeing these. This appears to be a great solution. Very minimal yet versatile. All-in-all this is a great looking rig, jpeg.

Steering Wheel Replacement / Controls

Love your truck, tracking many of the mods here in California. Have a fresh Alpine in the dash but getting tired of reaching across. Would be interested in your ultimate solution for steering wheel controls for your Pioneer.

Cheers!

Resurrection time!

I had the pleasure of seeing this amazing rig in person yesterday.

Also got to chat with @jpeg

Truly inspirational truck, just the right amount of everything (height, leather, leds, gadgets etc). This is a classic with creature comforts that will last the test of time.

Made me want to do some fun stuff to my 60.

@lovetowaki good wok on that rack, it's got a great/sleek profile perfect for this rig!

Cheers

Forgot to mention, the only outstanding upgrade is the ditch those bizarre headlights... For some nice circles!
