We were pretty sure that guy was fake border patrol and was going to nab beno. Luckily he wasn't going to give chase in his bigass pickup. #RAZERSONLY

Once we dropped down the other side, we wandered around the desert like Moses, for what seemed like 40 years. Our route kept running into roadblocks, locked gates, and washed out ravines too big for the Maxxtraxx. We followed several miles of dry wash, many times to turn around and run it in reverse. No complaints, though, the scenery made up for it.

We woulda made it.
The non-EAF amongst us with the long ass blue vehicles began to cry so we had to unass that trail.
That said I would not have been able to Baja that creek bed or launch that cattle gap had we driven on down the creek.

The day was getting on and we didn't come across any suitable campsites. Again, we were reluctant to go up in elevation to avoid the wind and cold, but we really didn't have any options.
So with the sun setting, we blasted uphill...
