Thanks for all the feadback everyone... Keep it coming if you have any more thoughts, and we'll try and keep you all posted as things progress...

The one with just the single hoop on top- what kind of angle is the hoop on? Tilt forward, straight up, tilt back? They both look good though.

Its tilted forward, probobly about 25 degrees..

Sweeeet!!!!!!!!!! Now that is what I want on my rig. Single loop top picture. Let me know when you get working on this. Good luck and keep us posted. It maintains the stout tough look of the FJ. I NEED IT NOW!!!

I like the first one.... Some drivin lights in the center... I think that would look good!!!

Yippeee, that's my bumper (1st one). Nice work, that's exactly what I envisioned...and it's refreshing to be able to give input about a design. Thanks!

I do like the design. You get one done up by middle of next month and I'll be your guinea pig install!

And, while I've got my tools out, I certainly wouldn't mind installing your rear bumper with the swing-away tire carrier. What? You haven't started it for the FJC yet? No problem ... I don't need it until the middle of next month!:D

So far I like this one best but would like to see it with a second (smaller) hoop on top of the maiin one so that you have a place to wrap a tow strap. Something like this maybe...

Do you have estimates on how long it will take to go from an accepted design to a selling / delivering product? I just need to know if it will be quick enough that I should wait instead of buying one of the other offerings.

Thanks,
Shawn

Your latter design looks awefully reminiscent of the Bentup design. I do like the multi-diameter tube design but your lights added to the top would totally interfere with visibility.

And I would not advise placing a tow strap anywhere except the recovery points. You would bend the hell out of your bar and probably hurt someone in the process. Very BAD decision!!!

Jimmy,
I believe he was suggesting the hoops would be a place to wrap a strap.... temporarily, like when strapping through a rock garden or something.

Can you add a couple of shackles to the pix? Hard to tell how low they will hang on the recovery points.

My personal preference is that they not hang below the bend, so I can't catch them on anything.

You can see that the shackles haing just below the front part of the bumper. This could change depending on the frame, its mounting locations and the posision of the recovery point reletive to the frame mounts, but its likely that it will be posisioned close to where it is right now... IMO where thy sit right now really isn't that bad when you concider the stock angle of approach....

I like the bumper real well but I was thinking something more like this. except with tube that was actually round and well done by somebody who can draw this stuff.

That looks pretty cool. Maybe a bit over kill, and it will hike the cost a bit, but I do like it....

Hears a more accuret drawing. Truth be told I cant really draw it either. The computers doing all the hard stuff.....

Sorta Cool!! Now lets make one. When will you start working on the actual fabrication. If you need my vehicle I'm just up the street from you. Love to swing by and see what way you are going to go, or what different styles you may put into production. Keep up the great work.

Hi there, I too have an fj on the way I love this final design. The inside rounded tubing by headlights is excellent. I wouldlose the small horizonatal tubes by the turn signal. Unless its reall needed.

I was wondering when is the real deal going to be produced ?
Cost? etc...Peorder?

Once we have the design all figured out and every thing is configured it will probobly take 4-6 weeks before we could begin shipping....

theres still probobly 2 or 3 weeks left of designing but with any luck they'll be availible to ship by mid July... We'll start taking pre oders once everything is configured and we know what the cost will be. right now, as far as putting a cost on it, everything is just guess work. We'll know better in a few weeks, and we'll also post it on our sight and keep everyone hear updated to when thats going to happen....

I'll take it. I'll pick up the FJC and drive on over. Make sure you have a comfy chair, I'll wait there until you're done!:D

I would definately order one of these. Probably wont do a winch yet so hope there is rom for three lights in the middle......Keep up the good work and its wonderful you are using peoples input for the design. Awesome!!! I still think the horiz bars by turn signals need to go....but I will still purchase it with them!
