I've been toying around with the idea of getting rid of the Landcruiser.

Up for sale is my '87 Land Cruiser FJ60 that has been extensively modified and well kept. I purchased this rig with the intentions of finding my perfect off-road/overlanding vehicle. I have drive this a lot and have taken it on several out of state expeditions. Been to Arkansas a handful of times, Texas a few times, and even drove to South Dakota for a pheasant hunting trip. I wouldn’t hesitate to pack up and drive across the country in it.

My wife, 3 kids, and I just built a house on some land and have too many projects in front of us. While I absolutely love the 60, I am not sure I'm going to have the time or money I want to pour into this awesome toy/project anytime soon.

Asking $25,000 or best offer. Roof Top Tent does not come with it unless the buyer wants to buy it as well.

The rig originally came from California and is rust free. While there is not rust, the paint needs to be redone and any thin spots, scratches, and nicks were primed and/or spot painted to prevent future corrosion.

Below is a list of all items that have been done. This is an extremely reliable cruiser that drives at highway speeds with ease and without overheating. I have taken it on several camping trips and once for some mild off-roading at Disney. It performed flawlessly.

- ARB Air Compressor

• Front Axle rebuild done by Valley Hybrids

• New seat pan with Hunsaker racing seats (includes 5-Point Harness) by Don @FC Fab

• 4+ Rear Bumper with tire and jerry can swing-outs

• ARB Front bumper (winch capable)

• WagonGear tailgate and quarter panel storage

• Alpine/Polk Audio System

• 17" steel wheels and 33" All Terrains

  • Plus many other extras/accessories bought from Ih8mud vendors. Dash Switch plates, led dome lights, etc.

- the gm and Toyota AC is all mated together well and blows very cold. Thanks to this the contributors in the 60 forum for the information!

- I also replaced a few missing trim pieces i.e. Window belt trim, ash tray, rear lift gate hatch cover, small things, etc...

What would I do to make this the perfect cruiser?

• Paint

• Add whatever accessories you'd like: rear drawers, arb fridge, etc...

  • I also toyed with the idea of swapping in an OM606 diesel motor for added cool factor and increased fuel economy.

I will post some more recent pics and interior shots when I get back home.

I apologize for just now getting back to this, it’s been a hectic couple months here. We had snow storms, then crazy fires around (I’m a local fire fighter), and just busy life. I was asked for some more pictures, here are some I was asked for in dm’s.

Hey guys, Thanks for all the interest in my 60. I want to be honest with everyone, I'm having a tough time thinking about selling it now.

I brought my daughter home from the hospital in it and have been on some really fun adventures with my kids in it. I actually sold it once and regretted it instantly and eventually bought it back. Its one of those labor of love things but also a literal and metaphorical vehicle to take me on all the adventurous things I like to do.

I am currently out of town for work but will be back this weekend.

Feel free to ask me any questions until then.

Thanks,
Alex

I wouldn't sell this. They are not easy to find and you have way too much into it. If your family can't eat, sure. But other than that, I'd hold onto it. I have a few trucks I wish I had held onto because I can't get them back now.

Uhhh, dude you're not helping. I've been trying to convince him to sell it to me and you are definitely not helping my case. :D

Well hey, if it goes to another member here, I am all for it then! I just know if I had $40k right now, I'd go and get the three I sold and still regret it. I hate watching someone sell something I KNOW they will regret LOL
