Does anyone have an Excel spreadsheet for keeping up with the maintenance on the 80 series? If not, I plan to create one and I'll post it up after I have it done. If someone does have it, it will save the rest of us a lot of work.

I am aware that there is one provided with the vehicle but it is limited in how long it extends and it isn't electronic.

Posting yours will be much appreciated. If you have one and don't want to post up your data, please delete your data but keep the headers (timelines for repair) and the details down the left side (maintenance items that need to be performed at specific timelines).

that would be awesome

What they said ^^ :hillbilly:

spreadsheet

Here's one idea...customize to your liking. Mine looks a little different. Add details you want, like MODS planned and/or completed etc. The maintenance schedule on pg. MA-2 of the FSM wasn't "user friendly" for what I needed, so, :meh: HTH

OOPS...tried to upload...what format will MUD accept, so I can upload?? They won't accept .xls :bang:

I just sent a message to Woody and to Ken Romer asking them if there was a way to upload your .xls. I'll let you know when I hear something back. Thanks for making the effort.

Or rename the .XLS to .PDF, end user would just have to rename back ;). (not sure if it still works, but have done that in the past)

I tried that but...no workee, course, I'm no I.T. guy either;p, computer keeps attaching the .xls suffix after the .pdf suffix. Any I.T. guys out there?:crybaby:

XP or W7 or Mac? For the Windows OS turn off "Hide Known Extensions"... or email it to me. Sending PM

Another idea, someone (or myself) could start a public excel spreadsheet on google docs and everyone could add and organize maintenance items to their liking. Once finalized, it could be exported and posted up on the FAQ as a public file. If everyone added stuff it would be much more comprehensive and go faster.

I made one on my Google Drive account (used to be Google Docs). I just have 3 basic fields, date, mileage and work done. I like having it on my Google Drive account because I can access/edit the list from my phone or any computer with an internet connection. You could make a more detailed one by adding fields for parts and parts prices and even fuel costs and turn it into a yearly expense report but I don't need to have that info.

If somebody wants to surf on over to http://rundlc.wikispaces.com/ and see if you can download the LC Test Run xls I just threw up there, I can post the maintenance file if somebody'll send it over to me.

I don't want to have to go through all manner of membership requests, so if you can download without being a member, that'd be great.

And, if the file ended up on the wiki, I'd be sure to attribute the creators so you can get some props.

If you can download that file, let me know...

Or, if somebody else has a better idea, that's all good, too.

Works with a mac. Downloaded, clicked *.xls file to open and it converted to *.numbers file.

I downloaded, filled in some fields, (customize to suit) for a sample template. How do I "send it over"??

Here's mine... left data in to give you an idea.

If you put in your "Current Mileage" on the second page (to the right), it will tell flag upcoming service (yellow) or overdue (red) service. I've adjusted this for all of my cars. You can edit the mileage between services in the formulas if yours is different.

Let me know if you have issues downloading it...

How about a spreadsheet that has one sheet for routine maintenance, a sheet for mods, and a sheet for budgeting mods? Maybe even a fourth one that compiles miles and destinations for trips? I could probably do something like that. And if folks have other, existing ones already, lemme know--I can PM my email addy and you can send those as attachments.

I sure do appreciate the help on this. I did NOT want to create this from scratch if someone had already done it. I have asked Woody and Romer if we could put this out on the FAQ so everyone can get to it.

If you aren't tracking your maintenance in this fashion, you are probably not doing something you need to do.
