I read this whole thing start to finish. Great photography! Killer build. I will be watching to see where it goes next. Keep it up

Been a while but I finally got to take the truck out this past weekend. No wheeling in these parts, but the scenery makes up for it. Nice way to kick off the beginning of summer. Lots of snow this year means our lakes are plenty full.

Stitching photos together in Photoshop caused the lower right part of my truck to disappear, weird!

Oooh looks nice. bowman/sawmill lakes, right?

We were going to drive out that way to surprise you guys this weekend but I have no idea where the time went... By the time I realized it, it was Monday and I wasn't sure how long you guys had planned to stay...

Looks like you had a great time! How was the road in?

Man, that makes me miss living in that area. Great pics.

Awesome scenery and photos! Your build thread is great, it definitely inspires me to do more to my truck as well as get out as much as possible.

Was wondering what happened to you, went MIA all of the sudden! Was a great weekend. Lots of people up there, but still plenty of space to find your own spot. Road was clear, no more snow up there. Weather was nice too. Got down to the 40s at night.

Thanks! I definitely don't get out as much as I'd like to, hopefully this summer will be different.

They were really roaring. Check this video out:

Such great pictures, I will have to try to get the family up there this summer.

water from the river can drink? :)

I noticed you have one side of your rockers completed. Now that you have one of each... was it worth the time to re-do them?

Probably, but I would not recommend it unless it was a last resort!

I definitely think so. Still looking for some spare time to start the other side but that one will take more time due to the exhaust and cats. The extra clearance is very worth it. If I had the passenger side rocker chopped, I would have gotten over this boulder a lot easier.

I often call people that live behind the shutter and screen of their cell phones "tourists of life". They don't live life as much as they just take photos for the purpose of putting it on social media.

Jose, I want to say to you. Thank you so, so much for taking time out of your adventures. To bring us these amazing snap shots of you living life. I know you are a proper photographer and adventurer.

Thank you sir  Sometimes I look back and wish I had more photos from certain trips, it's fun to look back and reminisce. It works out well when my wife tags along. Since she's scared to be in the truck during the tougher obstacles I can hand her the camera while she walks along the trail.

FORDYCE

Ah good ol' Fordyce. What a trip. Ended up having 4 trucks break, all on Winch Hill 3. Limped back into camp at around midnight. Longest day of my life!

Starting out nice n mellow. You can see the 4Runner up front laying on its side, hidden by the tree.

The nasty V-rock. I was real close to tipping here. Wish somebody had it on video.

First breakage of the day would be this guy on Winch Hill 3, broke a rear axle shaft

This shot gives you a nice perspective on just how stupid WH3 is. There are just some places motor vehicles should not go. But doesn't stop us from trying.

This guy was soo close. At the top of the wedge BOTH of his birfs exploded.

The white Tacoma would suffer the worst breakage, and it wasn't even from wheeling! While winching up the guy with the busted birfs, his upper link buckled causing the axle to pitch forward and thereby breaking his front driveshaft. I ended up having to tug him out for a bit until we saw the axle was twisting really bad. The pinion was actually hitting the oil pan now. Had to stop several times until we finally welded and braced the upper link bracket. Almost back at camp at around 11pm the upper link sheared the frame causing everything to let go. Needless to say it was a long night for these guys.

Then the big boys arrived to show everyone how it's done.

This would be the only rig I saw make it out of WH3 that day.

And the last breakage...almost at the top of WH3 something happened to his transfer case causing the case to crack and dump all the oil, must have been a hard impact.

And this would conclude our group's respectable attempts at WH3.

27455400843_cd78b36eb5_h.jpg

The rest of the night would involve lots of this along the way, and replacing birfs on the mini truck. Good times.

27456169654_3aa6ac1005_h.jpg

Somewhere along the way I picked up a cute scar. And at night I broke my taillight. Should have put the ugly stock taillights on before going out there!
