She's a beaut! I paid nearly $1200 for a rust-bucket 60 a few years ago, but then, it didn't have almost 300k on the ticker. But Flo sho looks clean.

Good luck with the 6.2 swap--I'm right there with ya; I've got a '89 Suburban donor with a 6.2, 700R, and a new A/C system ready to swap into mine.

Steering pump in, works great!

Got the Sag pump in, after a few fab tries! Works great, no growl, no leak! I do have a 1" spacer on the pulley though...

I do want to rework it a little and shorten the set back, that will help eliminate the spacer depth...

Also, the stock pressure side hose worked perfect. I jacked it up off the ground and ran through the steering several times and it went right to work!

That was my third try, after failing the first time I started on this... I need to rework it a little and weld, it will allow me to place the Volvo Sag pump in line with the stock position and not use a spacer, I should also be able to bring it a bit closer to the head so I can still use the stock belt (I had to buy a 63" belt in the current config)...

Failed Smog Bad

After a successful pump install, I took it to get smoged. It was real bad. My temp registration is expired so she is going into the shop on Wednesday to get fixed. She is my daily driver and I don't have the time to chase down the problem. I will post numbers tomorrow.

Change in plans (funds had to be redirected... life over cruiser again!) going to rebuild the carb myself. Starting today and I will post pics of the process.

Bumper Project

Also started on my bumper! 3x5 OD Square and 3x1/2 bar for the mounts. Have enough for front and rear, front shown. Still lots of work to do!

63" Chevies in the rear for my SOA, also picked up a set of 14" Bilstein's!

Steering Pump: The final chapter.

So the spacer I built for my SAG pump (out of a Chevy/Volvo) is a bit wobbly. Had a guy at work turn one for me on his lathe. After giving him the story he added a bit of flavor to my new spacer...

Should i give him the 6 pack or not?

I think you better get him a 6 pack, I think theyve been called toy'lets a few times already.

I like the work youve done so far and Im interested in seeing the chevy springs go on, a friend mentioned that upgrade so lots of pics and info on that would be good to see.

I did this. Then I undid it. You will need four leafs, three is too soft for anything other than empty. I went back to OMEs and I like them better, but they do cost a bit.

Good call VTCDN! Here is the installed pump. I am running a 63" belt, which is a tad too long, the alternator is all the way out. The stock belt is just shy of fitting. I think a 62" would be perfect. I am going to try to finish the 1/2" bar stand above and move it in to use the stock belt and eliminate the spacer.
