Is your project on the forum? I'll have to look it up if so.

Got a little time in this weekend with the truck. Got the motor ready to come out. Meeting up with a buddy this week to help with lifting the front clip off the frame and pulling the motor and trans.

Made some more progress this weekend. My two helpers standing next to the truck being my cheerleaders.

I was able to get a few hours in the shop tonight. Attempted to mount up my new Ranger overdrive

I couldnt get the Ranger to mate up. I could feel the unit hitting against something at the last 1/4 inch before the mating surfaces touched. The Advanced Adapters website mentions a potential difference in the diameter of the input shaft bearing for the '87s and older H42 but nothing for earlier years. My truck is an 86. Anyone else experience this during install?

You have very good taste in trucks!

Well s***. Confirmed that my transmission has the larger input shaft bearing. So be aware you guys with this model year who are planning this mod. Anyone with an '86 who has added the Ranger, how did it go for you? 😑

So back on track after getting the correct bearing plate.
Waiting on my buddies welder then we are zapping this thing in.
