Guys I just got a 1976 FJ40 and need some help decoding the block and head numbers? The block does not have a vin number stamped but is stamped "2F" casting 1141161013 and the head is casting number 61050. The pistons are domed
Data plate - model - FJ40LV-KCJA The engine - 2F

Any help you guys could offer would be a huge help

If the block has no serial number after the "2F-" on the RH side boss by the distributor, then the block has been replaced at some time in the past-- either the bare block itself (very rare) or the short block assembly (much more common in the 1970's and 1980's when these parts were still available new from Toyota.

11411-61013 is the supersession of casting numbers: 11411-61010/61011/61012. So, it is the correct replacement block for that era 2F. Replacement part number would have been 11401-61013 which was then replaced by 11401-69055 as a kit assembly for just a bare block. Again, doubt this was the case and that block was replaced with a short block assembly (with all new rotating innards).

Ok so it would have been a short block assembly but would it have come with a new head ? Mine seems to translate to a 3f?
