I am down to my last blank button spot on my OEM dash for my 2017 LX. I'm thinking of moving my
Redarc brake controller knob here and wonder if any one has used this blank spot left of the steering wheel. I haven't yet pulled this out but I wonder, is there enough room to drill out the two holes to make fit the switch or would
this mount work?
I was thinking of installing my aux tank controller in that exact same spot. What do you have installed on the blank on the right side of the steering wheel by the power back door switch? I just installed my
Redarc Elite in the blank there this past weekend in my 2016 LX.
But it’s actually really easy to get to the panel in your photo without opening up the dash. I had to check the connection in my trailer brake controller today and it took about 3-5 minutes to have it out. If you want I can walk you through getting just that panel out. But once you disconnect it from the dash (just 5 clips holding it to the surround) you can’t really see anything behind it….it’s almost a completely sealed box for each button and there’s a small PCB board behind it. Would love to see if someone has more info on this.
