Emblem residue removal help

Someone asked earlier if Goo Gone will work to remove adhesive left over from a factory emblem. Short answer, not safely as IME it softened the paint. That was however was on an 80 Series with the White 045 paint code (no clear coat from the factory) so that might have been a factor.

Either way, IME/IMO it would be safer to not use Goo Gone especially on paint without clear coat.

Anyone ever use Goo Gone for this?

Yes. I had some already so I gave it a shot. It took a while but it cleaned up.
