Electronic Parts Information Catalog (epic)?

Background: In my previous 60 life, early on there was a downloadable epic program that ran on xp. Worked great for IDing parts, lecturing ignorant dealers (they always got the part count/amount/id wrong), etc.

Has anyone run across that for the 100's?

L2S- It would be nice to have a digital offline copy. It exists somewhere, since these parts websites have to be loaded with that data and schematics for us to browse. If & when you find it, please let us know where to get it. Thanks.
