Hi everybody!

Guys, i have a friend with a snow plow POBJ 75, and he has a fixed clutch fan (well homemade two litle tabs of metal which locks in the fins of the clutch!) I think somebody could make a system like that which would be removeable! no? You know what i mean, push the two litle pieces of metal, it's locked, pull them out of the fins, it's unlocked!

Best regards.

Max.

hummm, curious about that statement as well. i drive the fixed faned HZJ75 at 160 km/h with no ill side effects... why do you differentiate between low speeds and highway speeds?
cheers

in the highway you must go over 100 km/h more air can come through the grill and through the fan than the fan can pussh in the engine ..

The noise in this situation, advice than the fan fight with the air triying to get ( the fan ) more rpm to equalize the amount of air than come. if is fixed the fan only run at the same rpm that that the engine.

really?
what about all the generations of muscle cars that could do 160 MPH with a fixed fan?

I run the popular Ford Taurus electric fan which is OEM in Fords and all I can say is that I absolutely love it. It is my only fan and does an amazing job and has been totally reliable in the 2 years I have been running it. I did all of my own wiring and wrap it in electrical tape just like OEM toyota and no problems at all, even in heavily salted winter up here too. Width is about 4.5" - maybe a tad too much to fit between a rad and engine in a HJ60 but nevertheless I am super happy.... For what it's worth...

Now if ford only build those in 24 volt........

I liked Lowenbraus idea of the fans in series, just have to work out the 24 volt adjustable thermostat thingy(not sure of the proper name).
