Sweet setup! You run a manual pressure reducing valve for the brake pressure in the rear? interesting idea...

It's called a manual proportioning valve. Works well after initial setup.

Love this truck!! Awesome location for the fuel filter, in the DS fender. Have any more pictures of the bracket that was made for that?

As requested

Finally got my WV smoothies. These are custom back space (6 1/8) 17x8. Since the truck has an 80 rear and the Tundra upgrade up front the axles are about 3" wider. This along with 4.5bs 17x8s and 12.5" wide mud tires caused the tires to sit just outside of the wheel well and I don't particularly care for that look. I'm much happier with this look and stance.

Those are awesome. Did that affect your turning radius?

I can't say for certain if the turning radius has been affected but it does feel like it has made the radius smaller/tighter. The old offset caused the outside of front tires to rub the inside of the front of the fender when the wheels were fully turned and there was some flex on the suspension. That rubbing no longer exists with the new offset.

75 degrees this weekend and no kids sports= productive.

Finally got my bumper back from the powder coater. Bumper made by Jason for Beno then sold to Willard and then to me. I added the hitch mount and the fog lights. My old neighbor helped design/fabricate the license plate holder and it is a piece of art! Goes well with Jason's handy work. The LED license plate light is wired through the holder frame then bumper. Stout!

Also started the install of the Webasto. A day late and a dollar short since winter is all but over. Oh well. It'll be ready for next wither. The unit is installed, wired it up and plumbed the fuel. Just need to remove the rear heater (more on that later) and hook into the coolant lines.

Thanks again to my old neighbor for hooking me up with a bracket. So simple. It started out as a 6"x6" piece of aluminum angle. We trimmed it down and drilled some holes. Powder coated and it looks like it was installed by Toyota.

The hardest part of the install was finding/building this damn fitting to tie into the exiting fuel.

When I have some time again I'll finish it up and post more pics.

Next up (after Webasto is complete) is to install the BMW seats sitting in the garage. I found some nice dark brown ones that almost match the existing dark brown in the cabin. Depending on the cost, I might ask my interior guy to use the old seat covers to create/install inserts on the seats so that the middle of the seats have the same pattern as the OEM covers. I think that would be a nice touch. This may not happen until later this year.

i have a very similar set up to you. i have a webasto sitting on my bench (also late for this year) but am wanting to build a bracket that my arb compressor will sit on beside the webasto. same location though.

does your tach work? mine never got set up and i'm looking for some direction as to what wires to hook up to what so it works. there is a wire coming off the back side of the injection pump that is supposed to be for the tach but i can't seem to find my tach wire from the fire wall as they were all cut and bundled up from the gas engine harness. any pics you might have would be appreciated.

very nice charger by the way. i too have the sickness that extends beyond these trucks. 1970 chevelle in progress right now on top of my 40. roll eyes. not sure any of them will ever be done!!

also how is your exhaust routed? mine crosses over under the tranny so it exits in the original drivers side location. not sure i love all the bends etc but not sure how else to unit so it has room to run over the axle. i didnt love the exit in front of the real wheel.

My tach (original style) does work but it works off the flywheel. There is little computer thingy inside the drivers side kick panel that makes it all work. I can get more info on it if you are interested.

I had a beautiful Cortez silver #s matching 4-speed SS for about 10 years. I traded it for a 67 GTO convertible that I sold to raise cash to build a house. I love the chase. Keep your projects in plain view all the time and you will get them done. If you store them out of sight...forget it.

My exhaust is routed inside the pass frame, up and over the front of the rear drive shaft and then back to exit at the factory location. It's tight but works really well. I was glad that they did not have to go outside the frame or through the wheel well. I can get pictures if that would be helpful. Sounds very similar to yours.

holy smokes. Great taste and style! removing the rear heater for seat install? i opted to keep mine for winter comforts and raise passenger bmw seat an inch or so.

Correct...I removed the rear heater to install BMW seat brackets from Torfab. I never really used it so won't be missed too much.
