Educate me about the differences with 1hz diesel injectors and injector pumps (1 Viewer)

Are there two different versions of the 1hz injector?

What about the injector pumps?

How 'interchangable' are the injector pumps with one another (in terms of their config, part numbers, etc.).

There's actually at least 3 different 1HZ injectors that I know of. There's also dozens of different pumps.

The injectors for my 1hz are the 23600-69055 ones. Seats are 11176-64010.

I've seen pictures of pumps that look different to mine with an extra section on top (called a 'boost compensator'?).

On the factory 1HZ that extra section on top you're talking about is actually an altitude compensator not boost. On certain pumps you can actually turn it into a boost compensator but it depends on what version it is as they aren't all the same.

Boost compensators came on factory boosted engines, like the 1HD-T. 1HZ's did have an altitude compensator in it's place on certain models, which might be what you've seen.
