Anyone???:hhmm:

They quote me $264.00 including shipping all the way to PR. I'm thinking...:hhmm:

I would try it for that price. alloy tanks are nice. The 3 row won't cool as well as a 2 row but I wouldn't be complaining for that price.

The only other aluminum radiator I know of is Ron Davis and that's $900

As far as I know the 3 rows cools better, I believe that the OEM is 3 row, I could be wrong. Most likely I'll go for it, Its cheaper than the ones I've seen in other sites.

??

do you mean 2 row is better. Less restrictive, more surface area for coolant, more efficient.

Good luck, tell us how it fits and works. I would give it a shot if I needed one.:wrench:

I don't know about this radiator, but I have always found that the more rows you have in a radiator, the better it cools.
I bought an aftermarket (2 row) aluminum radiator for my '93 and ended up buying a new factory (3 row) after having problems keeping my Cruiser cool with the A/C on.

This one is 3 row, this is weird, all the rad shops tell me that 3 rows and even better, 4 row is recommended. As I see it, the more rows, the more area for heat dissipation. :steer:

It's the opposite.
More rows=smaller tubes=less air movement=less surface area=less cooling capacity
Less rows=wider tubes=more air movement=more surface area=more cooling capacity

The wider the tube, the more surface area the coolant touches.

Aluminum can be made 2 or 1 row because it is much stiffer than brass.
Larger core is better.

96bruzer,
that's a nice find. I notice it may not include trans fittings so that may have to be a seperate cooler you add, if needed.

FirstToy,
Yes it is and it would be really nice to dress up our Toyotas...

arrived friday. I ordered the previous saturday so not bad to ship across the country. It appears to be hand welded and the box says "Made in China" on it. I installed it and it bolted right in my 91 no problems. Tomorrow I can get some temp readings on the highway to see if it lowered my running temps at all.

Same seller doesn't show an aluminum on for a 94 80 series but does have a plastic tank model for $72. Anyone have any experience with those.

Looks pretty decent
Could you take a peek inside and tell us how wide the tubes are?

for example here is photo
1 row (1 1/4" tubes)---- 2 row (3/8" tubes)-----2 row (1/2" tubes)

Those pictures look very decent. Please post future results, even if it's 5 years down the road...

Ill get you a pic if the core in the next few days. On the highway this morning my average temp was 185 down from 188.4 (obd2 reading) from last week. Not a huge difference but im ok with it, I needed a new rad anyway so this one will do. Its cooling a 5.3l vortec by the way.
