Freshened up my knobs. For the lettering on the knobs I used a product that a professional engraver recommended. He uses Lacquer Stick and it performed just as he described. Just cut the end of the stick off to expose fresh material. Smear it on the letters in every direction to get it in every nook and cranny, then wipe off with a dry cloth. Easy as that!

Wow those look great! Seems like an easier product to use than the Sharpie paint pens I ended up using

That looks easier than all the various methods I have used.

But, if you want to impress the ladies with your job, do the cigarette lighter correctly - white cigarette body, red tip, gray smoke, and yellow filter end. This will require a fine brush, steady hand, and a collection of model paints. But, you will be a (minor) hero.

Closest brick and morter I could find with that exact pen is Grainger. Lady I spoke with said they could have a #41mw09 pen in a Columbus store by tomorrow. Said she’d just need a heads up to get it on a truck tonight.
