Wanted Early spare tire carrier

Could same the same about my 68 except for something unique about the 68 and maybe the 69 that I haven't figured out. But like most other things finding information on early cruisers is tough. Once back at my winter home will search some old micro-fiche to see if I see a change in part numbers since Toyota is no help dropping the pre 3/69 from the system back in 79. 3/69 of and later can search the web for changes in many different markets. Prior to 3/69 nothing, thanks Toyota.

So far for the bracket, Book shows the same number with or without reflector, but no lock pin showing in any drawing

They apparently kept the same part number until the tube rack started.

Is that the original one? Silver color? New bolts? Looks like it sticks out further from the body.

Not sure, however rest of the vehicle looks bone stock.

Since I own that truck I can get better photos if you like. I am not sure if it is original or not. The truck is all original so I would think that it is. I have 2 fj25 hardtop swinging spare tire carriers that are all oem however I am not sure if they have a locking stud. I know my 1967 all original fj40 fst came with a locking stud on the carrier.

The FJ25 carriers are shallower than the FJ40 because the wheels are narrower than the FJ40 wheels. Posted a picture in the past if the difference. Have a early production FJ40 (#202) and a 62 FST tub with the spare tire carrier. Neither has the post for a lock.
