Thanks, looked in the FSM must have misssed this diagram. Hmmmm looks like there a backing sleeve/nut that appears to be for a machine screw, I may be wrong though...The only screw here is 90159-50054, "Toyota 90159-50054 Screw with Washer" $4.14 list

The illustration is from the Toyota parts microfiche, not something in the FSM.Thanks, looked in the FSM must have misssed this diagram. Hmmmm looks like there a backing sleeve/nut that appears to be for a machine screw, I may be wrong though...
So is this the part? (90159-80010) These look more like what I thought they would be.The illustration is from the Toyota parts microfiche, not something in the FSM.
Just because it's named a screw, doesn't mean it has sheet metal threads. The windshield fasteners (90159-80010) are "screw w/ washer" as well, and they are machine screw threads.
These screws?Looking for the size /pitch for the screws that attach the cowl panel.
Yep.
Thanks! Yeah I think they are m5 but yeah maybe get a m4 too.On Amoron a thread checker kit is like $28. It will do machine screws/bolts/nuts in both metric and imperial. It will not do tapered screws like wood screws, lag bolts. It will also not likely do the weird sizes like extra fine threads found on guns for example or Whitworth. It would likely work on the a shallow hole for the last listed screw.
go the like home despot - they have metric screw in the common sizes and pitch. Buy 1 of each size and pitch length 20mm = 3mm, 4mm so that would be like 4 screws <$5

No, that's an example of a screw that has machine screw threads, since in your post #3 you seemed to have concerns regaarding what type of threads the screw had. I gave you the part number in my first post, which is post #2 in this thread. So is this the part? (90159-80010) These look more like what I thought they would be.
Ahh got it. This is what fits and what was in there. A pan head would be better as the cowl barely clears the hood. No, that's an example of a screw that has machine screw threads, since in your post #3 you seemed to have concerns regaarding what type of threads the screw had.
