early/late oil pan compatibility (1 Viewer)

Hi all,

I need to replace the no. 1 (upper) oil pan on a 94 (no crank sensor). I'm having poor luck finding a replacement, but have a few later ones available to me that have the crank sensor.
As far as I know the sensor is the only difference and I can just make a block off plate to make a later pan work, but I'd hate to find out the hard way that there's another obscure difference. Can anybody confirm this for me?
