Tires

I am looking for a good set of 285/75 /16 if any one has some for sell. Also posted some tires in the for sell section.1 general 255/70/16 with wheel and a set of 255/70 16.

I am sure this will end up being moved to the wanted section. The same tires fits lots of vehicles (100's, runners) and you would get more visibility there. You might also check tire stores that sell used tires in your area.

eBay has a bunch of 285's for sale or you can buy a SET of new A/T tires for less then $450 on Tirerack.com

I found some well priced mirrors at coolcruisers.com

I still need the spare tire rod.

Where can I get some of these?

Does anybody know which model these are from? I need some nice rectangular ones like these for my troopy, and need to know what to get.

Thanks,
Scoot

Im guessing they are off a 40 or 45/75 series cab chassis. Wagon bodied cruisers like 60/74 series cruisers have them cut to the shape of the wheel arches.

Those were probably fitted to a SWB rear bumper judging by the exhaust pipe cutout

The only thing wrong with those, is that they don't belong to me. They are on Ebay in Australia right now, and he doesn't take Paypal.

When you say "cab chassis" do you mean a truck that was sold without a bed or tray on it, or does that refer to all ute/pickup types?

By cab chassis I mean one that has an aftermarket tray and mudguards fitted. The mudflaps are all square cut.
The cab chassis cab be bought with/without tray.

But they look like they would fit anything that takes a square mudlap.
I thought they may have been off a 40 series because the exhaust is close to the rear wheel arch.

You can do a direct deposit into his Aussie bank account through a US branch.
No fees no risk.
You only need his name, acc# and BSB# and add the item number or your ebay handle to the deposit slip(ask the bank 1st as some have different ways of recording your identity).
Aussie ebayers do it this way all the time
I think Bigbrowndog mentioned that all aussie tax file numbers are linked to our bank accounts and are completely traceable by the feds in case of fraud.

Be careful with the freight cost

That would be an electronic fund transfer. Electronic transfers cost $40-$50 in US banks. Buyers beware.

Here in NZ the bank charges us to receive an o/seas transfer.
Had to pay $25 last time someone sent me money that way :(

The wiring you need is probably under the dash somewhere, unless someone did a hack job to is. The light and the switch are easy. How many do you want? Do you need the light that goes in the dash or the bolt on indicators that go under the dash showing Brake And Choke? Let me know. I have both types.

I used to purchase Land Rover parts from England using bank transfers, but only when absolutely neccesary due to the added fees involved. Now I prefer using a credit card, or I even purchase foreign currency locally, and send that through the mail.

Dave, I think you are right about the 75 series. After a quick search on the net, it looks like they came on the pickup model with the factory bed on it. Now I just need to see if I can get them here in the US.

Thanks for the help,
Scoot
