E-brake cable replacement

I’ve done all the adjusting I could, and I was never able to get the pull where it was supposed to be. I’ve read that I need to drop the tank to replace the cable. But I was looking around that area, and it looks like I might be able to fish it through without dropping the tank. The photos below are the best pics I could get of ontop of the tank.

1st photo is the front of the tank (close to front axle) and seems like there’s a lot of space

2nd photo is right where the cable comes up to the tank, and goes between the tank and the belly of the body.

you can do it without dropping the tank. It's not hard at all.

I just did this. The new cable can be fished over the fuel tank easily. Start at the hand lever and remove the nuts on the end of the cable and bend the tab back and pull the old cable out of the hand lever. I was able to replace the cable without dropping the tank. But I still could never adjust the ebrake to get it to work.
