looks like it's only in a 7x16 so it doesn't help us with 15's. Is universal actually going to carry it?

There is also alot of early lit with ndt tires on cruisers. I wonder if they ever came like that in the states...

Just wanted to revisit this to see if anyone found this in a 15" rim. I think it would be the perfect tire for the LVs. :)

well we can definatly get them in 16"... this is their reply:

Dear Sir,
Thank you for your e-mail and interest in our product. Please confirm
the quantity you are interested in. The main reason being that is is
costly to send tyres if low in quantitiy via courier or airfreight due
to its volume. It is probably more cost effective to ship them in a
container if the quantity is high.
Please confirm the quantity you require and we will then provide you
with an official quotation if necessary.
Best Regards

Great links! Does anyone carry them in Albany? I'll check around Montreal, but with the dollar being up, I should be looking south!

Would 225/75/15 be close to 7.00 x 15?

I have a set of factory split rims that came out of Germany on my 75 series Troopcarrier. I wanted to put these wheels on a 64 lv project. I found that denman military tires would look good. Where are You getting new tubes and how hard is it to take apart the split rim, safely.

Thanks,
Mike

i have been running splits for over 10 years...love them...and easy to do...after you do it once or twice :)

http://www.4wdonline.com/Wheels/Split.html split rim ring removal

the hardest part is breaking the tire off the bead I use these Tyrepliers: http://www.eco4wd.com/products/product_details/TyrePliers.pdf

i make sure the tubes have tr150 valves (see here: http://www.transamericanrubber.com/images/valves/valves4.gif )..theybend nicely and are not too long not too short, the valve on the tube needs to be "off center" not "on center"

MAKE SURE YOU USE RADIAL TUBES AND FLAPS WITH RADIAL TIRES AND BIAS TUBES AND FLAPS WITH BIAS TIRES :)
