Saw this thing at a local gas station and had to take a picture of it. I was on the way to work so I didn't really have time for further inspection.

It's nice to know there are still fender flares out there capable of beating that Tundra to death with the ugly stick.

If he swapped in a domestic axle he doesn't have ABS, traction control, speedo, or cruise control, but he does have a MIL. That truck will be unhappy without WSS.

He may also have a smaller ring gear and certainly worse brakes.

If he cobbled up some adapters for the hubs then it's hard to say. He'd need some honkin' big dually rims to fit over the Tundra calipers.

It's definitely not as nice as this one...

That's a beast... Fell out of MadMax movie!

A factory 10.5" full floater would be a step in the right direction.

Huh.
I didn't know there was such a beast.
What applications were this axle available for? I don't see many second-gen Tundras around with a FF rear.

He needs to learn how to park too. I hate people that do that crap.

That's why I love my first-gen. I can squeeze my little truck into the parking spaces the d-bags cut into with their sloppy parking, and block 'em in, all the while staying within the lines.

You won't see any, as Toyota has yet to use it on the 2nd gen Tundra. They have used it for years on Dynas and such. If we ever see a 3/4 ton, it might have this.

ah, so it's kind of a unicorn part, then.
It would be pretty cool to get a hold of one, but judging by the bodywork quality of this pictured Tundra, I'm skeptical the owner cared that much to track down a Dyna axle.

Yeah, who knows what is under that.

The 10.5 full floater is a unicorn in this country. It wouldn't be terribly difficult to modify the semi float for full floater duty, though.

However, we could easily track down full floating Toyota 12" rear ends from Hino FA and FE trucks. They are like a giant ford 9" with 3 bearings for the pinion gear. Might be Toyota's 1 ton rear end.... some day?

That would be cool to see!
