Is there a easy way to move driver's seat back to create more leg room.
I'm only 6'2" and my FJ-40 driver's seat is too close!
Thank you

Back much further and you're into the rear wheel well. Many of us tall guys remove under seat tank (add rear tank), then build seat bridge that lets us run buckets a couple inches lower and a couple inches back further- - -home run.

I haven’t seen the kit for 1979+, just a photo from this Forum. Basically you can move the seat back ~5cm

Two pieces of Unistrut, available at any home improvement store, works well for the late-model seats:

I did basically the same thing as the bracket that are shown in the previous picture. I took four pieces of 1/4 plate 2”x4” and moved the seat back on the existing stock seat mounting. I only did the drivers side but that’s really all you need. Downey is right ,you can only go back about 2 1/2 inches or so but it did make a noticeable difference. I’lol try to send some pictures in a bit

I lied to you. I ended up flipping my rear seat brackets moved the left front bracket back enough to match the offset gained by flipping the rear brackets and used two 2”x4” spacers to adapt the right front corner and also to lean the seat back just a bit
