Can anyone help me with this? I am restoring the steering components on my stock 82' FJ40 and mixed up the drag link and relay rod. The FSM doesn't give the actual rod lengths without the tie rod ends installed. My OEM rods measure 29.5" and 30.5". Thank you!

The drag link and relay rod are the same diameter and the ends have the same thread. You are thinking of the TRE, which is a bigger diameter.
Of course you're correct, you have both parts. It's been so long since I did this, I shouldn't be guessing........

So I'll spell it out with all the details.

Note that Toyota sells the individual ends, and each one comes with its own rod, for free. (If you spend $100 for the end, that is!)

Refer to following picture, 45045-60H00 (relay rod) is one inch longer than drag link.
