Door strikes for FST

I am trying to mount my FST doors and I know I don't have any strikes because the ones that were on it were Bestop and I have no clue what I need. If someone has a photo I sure would appreciate it. I have a set in my cart at SOR but don't know if they will work. thanks in advance!!

My fj40 is a 9/74 oem soft body, but the doors are old as the hills. these are the only ones I have ever seen in person, so I'm clueless as to what year they may be. thanks for the heads up...also...I don't have door handles yet...

OEM factory soft top doors use the pillar to latch onto

If you have the bows … you’ll most likely see right before where the door bow curves inward some scrape marks of where the door latches and rubs the paint away … I use a plastic door trim in the area to hold the door tighter to body and not have it rub against the steel of the bow itself … then just replace the trim every few years

Great...when I get off work I'll certainly exam that area...btw.can the plexiglass be replaced with auto glass? these doors have been boxed up since 2017 and they areshot as far as looking through them...thanks for helping!

If you look through the window you can see the handle/bow. Glass will be too heavy for the doors. You’ll want to stay with plexiglass…

I second @gr8ful and not use glass … just because it’s not hard to just put in plexy … I would try the meguiars plastx first … the oem plexy does clean nice and has the toyota stamp into it on the lower corner

Well.. that makes me wanna eat a whole fried chicken.. I guess I changed them once so I’m a pro at it now.. although they come on and off pretty easy..I’m a pro at taking the top ones on and off.. just aggravating… crap.. I just kicked the cat..

Yeah they will go on and off … however with flexing and wheeling the correct way limits the doors vertical movement

Yep.. I like the way you described why they must open wide to lift out…. If I wasn’t so anal I might would just move on… but.. after I find the cat., I guess I’ll take them out and put them back right.. thanks again
