door lock problem?

So I just bought my first 80. Been working on a resto for my 64 fj40 and I just could not wait any longer. The 80 has lots of small problems but one that is weird to me. When i lock the doors all doors lock except the drivers side rear. But when I unlock they all unlock? Also is the rear gate only controlled by the key on the gate? Or is there and Actuator in there I will have to replace? I know lots of questions but I am new so cut me some slack.

^^Fixed it for you.

All doors have lock actuators, there are several failure modes, the motor, the lever arm in the actuator, broken linkage clips, gummed up dirty lock mechanism on the latches, etc.

The last one we messed with that had that issue was a gummed latch, cleaned/lubed, works great.

I had the same symptoms but rear passenger. I tried the e Bay motors that others have tried. The worm gear was difficult to salvage and attach to the generic motor. But ultimately I had success with junk yard lock actuators.

Claudia it is the tan kinda color will post pics. Cleaned the engine yesterday and undercarriage. This afternoon is vacuum day yuck I think I will also pull the rear seats (mid row)

If you are cleaning carpets, the rear section comes out easily, just a bolt for the right side third row seatbelt and the metal strip at the tailgate and you can remove and scrub it.

Already cleaned rear carpet but the guy who owned it first was a contractor and spilled some epoxy on two spots rest cleaned up nicely but two spots with almost clear plastic blobs on it no way to get that out but rest of the carpet is coming out to try a clean up.
