Pearl looking out of the duck blind during our Thanksgiving visit to Mississippi.
New best friends... Chester and Teddy the Puppy
Find Teddy’s face... if you can...

Pearl was pretty happy with the morning duck hunt in north Texas.
Well done, Pearl!
Not so good news, on the dog front.
Sunday, my Lela stabbed her paw on a sharp piece of metal jumping into my FJ55 "Zeke".
We have been treating her with a vet-supplied anti-bacterial solution. Yesterday, she decided I was intentionally hurting her with the solution, so now I am in Day Two of my own dog running in fear from me, every time I walk into the room.
If nothing else, her ability to make me feel tremendous amounts of guilt and regret mark her as Female.
"Pig Stabs Dog"
Sorry, I couldn't resist. Hope she gets well soon and forgives you.
Well, all is apparently forgiven. I couldn't sleep this morning, so went out to the couch to read for awhile. I fell asleep while reading, and woke up to find Lela sleeping with me.
BTW, that isn't posed in any way. Evidently, she never learned how to "dog" in the kennel and will sleep like a human in a human bed or couch.
Another full strap for ol Pearl! My son and I love watching her retrieve ducks.
And some Christmas bacon for Pearl!
yep had to bribe them
Happy New Year, Mud. As you can tell, my dog isn't too crazy about the cat.
Today we finally got out of the house; temps have been extremely bitter cold here, so we drove to Bass Pro Shops to walk around with Lela in the warm.
Tried out her Christmas present, which were doggie boots, and hilarity ensued.
my oldest one gets a coat when we get out in the cold
Future duck dog Dottie.
First thing she did was run into my back yard and start digging up gophers.
The cat, Luna is NOT happy...
Ecstasy of a chew stick.
Cal and Koko. Both GSDs.
I never see all black GSDs!
Here is mine.
Especially at night! I've tripped over these dogs many a time. We've started putting glow sticks on their collars when we're camping.
Our black GSD, Sully.
