Does LX 570 have inside shoe brakes in rear rotors?

They use the same parts. I took the pads out of my original 13 front calipers and put them into my 16+ ones when I upgraded the front brakes.

Rears are the exact same part numbers.

Any recommendation on where online to purchase OEM parts is appreciated. I will need both front and rear rotors and pads. I will determine if the e-brake needs replacement or not once I take out the rear rotors.

Do some searching, lots of threads in the past few months about online genuine toyota parts sources. You'll find a lot more recommendations than people simply listing here.

My local Toyota dealer sells parts online via their website. I can order online and pickup in store which saves on shipping. I would start with your local dealer since shipping rotors will likely eat up any discounts you are able to find.

That being said, looks like my dealer is offering free shipping on orders over $75

I've ordered a lot from Olathe Parts, McGeorge, and Boch. I like the Olathe Parts experience better because they have really great people that answer the phone, are friendly and knowledgable. There are times when I just can't locate a part online in the ordering site, and they are always able to look it up for me. The other sites have deals, but not the same level of customer service, in my personal experience.

Thanks for the link, much appreciated. Prices on that site is among the lowest. I found Genuine OEM Parts & Accessories at Wholesale Prices| Discount Parts Monster | DiscMonster - https://www.discountpartsmonster.com/ as being another online store that has pretty good price. However, I already bought one from ebay for $537.58 including shipping and taxes. Many thanks for all those responded to my post, thank you so much since I'm not only new to Lexus but to the DIY in general. I will be back here many times asking for help but I'm learning. The Lexus dealer in my area want to charge me a little over $1,309 for the job. If I can get it done for $538, that's quite a bit of saving for me.

My only 2 cents is that ebay, rock auto, and random internet sites are fine when you can easily find the part number, everything goes well, you receive exactly what you ordered and nothing is damaged. Having a real person on the other end of the phone helps a whole lot if (inevitably) something goes sideways.

Agreed! I typically find their prices to be lower or comparable to most of the more well known Toyota dealers who sell online. Glad you found what you needed!

You've likely seen these if you're looking for DIY brake help for 200 series, but I found these videos super helpful ahead of doing my brakes for the first time:

Project 200 - LandCruiser 200 - DBA brake upgrade with new rotors & pads. Inc handbrake shoes

@aubie, thank you so much for the links to those two videos. I have been scouring the Internet for DIY LX 570 rotors/brake pads.

Open up your searches to look for Land Cruiser 200 series information too - the mechanical systems other than suspension are essentially identical on the LC and LX.

THIS X1000

I know some think Rockauto is the greatest thing ever. Many years ago I ordered something for my pickup from them and they sent the wrong thing. CLEARLY wrong. It was then I discovered that there was no phone number on their website anywhere (not sure if this is still the case). When I sent an email to the customer (dis)service email, I got a boilerplate reply that they wanted me to pay round trip postage to get the corrected part. Lesson learned, I threw it away and bought local. Will never use them again.

I prefer McGeorge Toyota for parts that I can wait for. Excellent service. Your Source for Genuine Toyota Online Parts | McGeorge Toyota Parts - https://parts.mcgeorgetoyota.com/

I think of all the sites I've looked up, Rockauto is among the most expensive. Thanks for the link but that site does not have any parts related to my VIN...not sure why.

I had that happen through RockAuto with 5 Denso TPMS sensors where they told me that they fit my 200 (and didn't). They were virtually impossible to get ahold of, deal with, and ended up telling me to pound sand. I'll never buy from them again.

My brake pads and rotors do not come with retainer clips and spring for the 2014 LX 570. If I'm going order this online or pickup at local store, what are the part numbers? Does it matter if it's after market and not OEM for these clips and springs?

Spring 90501-20604
Spring pin 47447-22010
Spring cap 47449-30030

Since I'm not well versed on road salt, I don't know what else you may need. Here are some more parts from that area in case.

If you need the return springs..
Upper 90506-23052
Lower 90015-DY007

If you need adjusters
Left 47406-30040
Right 47405-30040

Edit: this is just for the emergency brakes

Here are the ones I keep handy in the garage.

And if you don't need to replace the slider boots on the rear, they sell one with just the contact surface parts.

As always, I recommend verifying part numbers for your fitment, but this is what I have in my spare parts. Like for example, you may need to drop the leading 'P' on the part numbers, since I seem to recall that some of these came in a Powerstop brake pad kit and that probably tacks a P onto the part number.

Beck Arnley, ACDelco, Raybestos, Dorman and other brands offer similar parts kits for the 200 series LC/LX.

These kits from various suppliers cost from $5 to $15 a set, which is a lot less than the factory parts and seem to work just as well.

Centric site says that have local store in our area that sells their product but the site has nothing about purchasing items from there. When searching the FMP site, it shows the one in my area is just a warehouse.
