So I have a question about how well they dampen. I'm on heavy 3" VT coils with the standard twin tube shocks, and when I'm loaded and crawling in places like the Rubicon, I feel like the twin tubes don't dampen quite enough and I bounce more than I would like to. when stepping off of things, especially up front. Are these any better in that area?

Surely some of you have been running IMS for quite some time now. How about posting up some photos of them on your rigs? I'd especially like to see some of the earlier users of them, to show how they've lasted over time. I get that question all the time.

In the market for better shocks - also interested in some long term reviews. My 80 is running on OME 850/863, airbags in the rear. Steel front bumper, winch, dual battery, sliders, aux fuel tank, tire carrier, drawers, roof rack, roof tent, 270 awning, etc.

Sitting at about 6400lbs loaded, arse-heavy, plus occupants. Running Bilstein 4600 right now and up front they're okay, marginal in the rear. Rebound damping way too weak and they don't actually ride that great.

Looking for a durable shock that provides a comfortable and controlled ride. Previously had OME stock height dual-rates with Tokico Trekmasters and that setup rode awesome even when loaded.

I have had my IMS 2.5 for about 4-5 yrs now, done a few 2-3k miles trip on highway, a few trips to the Rubicon, etc. I really love the ride. Its soft, comfortable, and handle 4lo type crawling well. Would do it all over again.

Can someone tell me about the proper Dobinson IMS shocks to run with 850 springs up front with 30mm spacers, and 860 springs in rear?

I have extended brake lines, sway bar drops, caster correction already. Understand I may need to do bumpstop extensions. Plan to run 315 tires. Currently have 305’s.

A little extra travel would be nice but overall I want to upgrade from the standard OME nitros. They were jarring on a recent 5hr road trip.

Seems the 0-3” version measure between the OME standard and Long version?

You can use the 4-5" length shocks, as long as you extend your bump stops.

IMS45-60912 front and IMS59-60687 rear

Thank you. Front and rear bump extension?
2” rear? And what for the front?
