Hey guys, im thinking about putting in a fresh water tank for washing dishes, cleaning up and showering. My thinking is pull out the 2nd row seats since they don't get used EVER. Now, i've heard that you can pull out just one of the seats instead of the pair? Is this true? I haven't looked yet. This would work well, because i could still carry a passenger or pick up a hiker/walker.

Thanks guys

You certainly can my brother. Just don't forget to re-install the bolts so you dont' have water intrusion. ;)

I ran for the longest time without the middle seats. Figured it was easier to put the rear ones in in a hurry. Also much better for sleeping in.

Now I'm back to middle and no rear.... figures.....

I was also using the middle seat bolt captured nuts for hooks for cargo tiedowns.

What Mo says X2. I remove and reinstall the second row seats all the time when I put in the storage drawer extension. Remember, you can fold forward each side with those cute little levers on the sides of the 2nd row seats to fold the back rest down or flip the seat forward. :flipoff2:

Each seat has four bolts and each seat has an add'l two bolts on the bar the seat locks down to when folded down. All of these bolt holes are exposed to the underside of the truck and should have shorter bolts put in (stainless steel would be my choice) to seal the holes.

Putting the bolts, or plugs so you don't have bolt heads to catch a knee on, will also not allow whistles on windy nights. Learned that on my last Baja trip.
