Hi,
I am in the need of a drivers door for my 1985 FJ73. I thought the troopy had the same doors?
When I rang the wreckers today I was told (by one company) the troopy doors were taller?
I think he got confused with the bundera?
Having trouble sourcing at the moment and there are heaps more 1985 - 1992 75 series and troopys around. I can take my old door with me to confirm before buying.
Any confirmation either way will save me a lot of time.
Thanks

Troopy barn door is taller not the driver's door,
For fj73 and 75 ute doors are interchangeable.
Troopy door has a rounded window frame which still fit into your 73 leaving a gap at top
Rain water might surge in and get wet.:)

What he is talking about is the main difference is the upper front corner of the door window frame. Yours will be pointed and the others will have a radiused corner. It will kinda fit.

As long as they have the pointy top front corner.

I put FJ73 doors on my FJ75 truck, lots of FJ73's over here FJ75's are a bit more scarce, just make sure you get the right doors with the angled top corner

Thanks to everyone for your detailed responses, the photos were a great help and it allowed me to narrow down my options a lot quicker.
I ended up needing 2 doors. I'm still looking for the drivers door, but was able to get the passenger door :)
