Very nice write up...but @Ayune the "Something is dripping" light is actually the warning light for the fuel/water separator (fuel filter) on diesel engines, thought I would let you know, other than that, nice very nice...I'm thinking on going to a 100 series...good to know that there are cool things to do

Just completed this mod on my LC. Thanks for the detailed write-up! Got stumped when splicing the DRL relay wire. DRL's wouldn't come on even though I wired everything properly. Turns out DRL's don't come on when the hand brake is engaged.

I have a 2000 LC and don’t have the 5 way connector that plugs into the mirror switch. I do have this other connector with three wires. Anyone know what this is and why I don’t have the 5 way connector?

The white connector with 3 wires in it is for the factory locker switch I think. I'll bet the mirror connector is still buried in there somewhere.

There is a very good possibility that I’m missing it. I dug around a little more and still can’t seem to find it. Here is an image of the connectors I do have (both rear windows, mirror switch, and the three wire connector potentially factory locker, and then two wire crimp sections). I would think the mirror switch would come out of this small harness but doesn’t seem like there is anything else coming out except for the cluster of white/green wires that looks to go up towards the dash.

Anyone willing to pop their switch out and see where the mirror switch is coming from?

Either I’m blind or I don’t have the connector. Took off the bottom part of the dash to get a better view and still not seeing the switch connector.
