Hey Ben, how about any progress on the other swing arm design, is that down the priority list?
Not yet, it's high on the priority list but I need to get through some orders first.

Ben, excitedly watching your progress. I understand that finishing orders takes highest priority but I also wanted to chime in that I too am interested in a rear bumper that has a hitch on the swing-out for a bike rack tray. The functionality of the bumper shown in the video earlier in the this thread is perfect for my needs.

I'll wait till you are caught up with production and reach out about a custom job.

I would also be interested in this... I found this pick that

Not sure if you can see from the pic, but there is a hitch receiver mounted on the swing out to accommodate a "1up USA" bike rack and Jerry cans. If possible this would be a great combo.

It would be possible but I don't think it would work with the current swing out design, I would likley have to do a custom swing out build and use a more traditional style latch system.

How about just making a plate welded to receiver material. Utilize the lug nuts holding the tire on. Perfect accessory item. Would this work?

Yes it would be possible and I will likley offer many accessories that bolt behind the tire including a 2" receiver but that would be pretty high for a bike rack I would think.
I'll have to play around with it a bit. I know I cannot weld a receiver through the swing arm but may be able to weld one on top.

That would be a lot of weight for a single swing out - spare plus bikes. I know driving Baja for a month cracked welds on a swing out with only a spare on it (different bumper)..... I would be in if there was an option for a second universal swing out that accepted bolt on accessories, like a bike rack.

Any updates Ben? Have the first 5 gone out or are you still having issues with getting the right pieces?

Hope I'm not speaking out of turn but I was in the first 5 and have my bumper in hand. It's been powder coated and the rear crossmember has been removed and the frame prepped. Just waiting to get back into town from holiday traveling to install that bad boy. Hopefully will have install done and pics posted here by end of next week.

That's good to hear! I was #6 so hopefully I'll be getting mine soon.

If you don't mind sharing, about how much did it run you to powder coat it? I'd like to have an idea of what I should pay as I've heard a few of my local shops like to gouge people.

I'll give you an idea what I got quoted here in the Dallas area for my front bumper. The $300-$400 ranges are in Plano and Carrollton, where the $150 just east of McKinney. I don't know if the folks down in Plano/Carrollton are just overpriced or offer a better product. The guy in McKinney is out in the middle of nowhere, so perhaps his prices can be that much lower. I'm going to talk to him a bit more next week to help me decide.

@benc what color code/name for white did you use for yours?

I've called a few places and they've told me the $300-$400 range.
I visited one place near me and he told me $150 + ~$20 in sand blasting, he actually saw the bumper in person and said it wouldn't take that much sandblasting, which runs $85/hr.

It was just short of $250. I had everything coated the same color and there are a bunch of little pieces along with the big pieces, I think 15 in total. There are several shops around here but I used the place that Slee uses so I may have paid a bit more than if I shopped around. Was looking for quality over cost savings.

I had my sliders done there as well and it was about $120ish if I remember correctly.

On a related note, it was so nice unpacking the pallets. Steel pieces everywhere, all sorts of nuts and bolts, linkages, latch...it was like an adult erector set. Can't wait to put it together. Didn't expect it but included was the trailer wiring harness, 7 pin plug, pretty much everything one needs. We're getting a lot for what we pay for!

awesome! I follow you on instagram and saw a few pics, are you going to do a trip report? I would love to know what trails you ran and how you'd rate them for the LC. I spent some time in Moab last summer but barely got offroad.

I think one of the guys is doing a write up...trails we did where outside the town of Blanding..Hotel Rock one day and then spent 3days wheeling and camping on a trail called Hole In The Rock which ends at lake Powell, that trail is probably the hardest I'd want to wheel my 100 with out lockers, hell one guy blew his front diff on the way out...but it was awesome time!!

Prismatic box white.

Sorry for the lack of updates!
Here's where I'm at.
I have most of the correct pieces now and the rest should be ready next week. I will be working on the rears next week and hopfully have a couple ready to ship by the end of the week.
if I have all the correct pieces and all goes smoothly I should be able to get 6-8 or more out next month.
I'll contact as I get them packed and ready to ship.
I'll update at the end of next week.
Thanks!
Ben.

Also started on the accessorie arm design! Will update with progress on that as well.
I have some ideas that I think will be pretty cool! From the modular ladder to a possible sealed and lockable drawer that could be used for a camp stove or recovery gear that will form the ice chest/ fuel can basket. Stay tuned.
