Alright so I have a 1992 ext cab pickup with 4.56 diffs, I am wondering if anyone would be interested in swapping diffs, I am looking for a set of 4.11 diffs. to complement this diesel motor a little better and get the RPM's down a bit. TIA

Truck is located in NC so anyone in the nearby area would probably benefit, shipping would probably break the deal for anyone else.

I have one 4:11 out of a 84......I think they are different than your year?

Erik's Toyota Differential info <-- as close to a locker bible as I know.

Your front and rear are fit wise the same as any 92 rear. The standard IFS front for a 92 is different. The 6 cylinder diffs are internally different and have a some exterior case differences, but fit the same.

There is also a mention in ARB's catalog of a larger axle shaft being used in some manual locking hub ones from 86 to 95.5. ??? Possibly V-6 versions. I don't know if we saw them here in the USA.

I'd consider the swap, except I'm seriously thinking of going to 4.88 or 5.29 and adding lockers. Plus I have an engine rebuild ahead of that.

Bogo - thanks for the info and link, I don't "need" them but it will drop my RPM's considerably and this truck won't really see much of the trails due to it's condition. I just thought someone might have more use for the 4.56's

Where are you at in NC? I know VA Beach has a decent U-Pull-It / EZ-Pull junkyard where you could get the 4.10s for ~$30
