Scam. He told me it was in Ohio. I asked if I could see it with no response.

Hello, i'm asking $13,500. It’s in great condition, always garaged, no known problems, everything works as it should. No accidents, Clean title.
I'm selling the vehicle for this price because i've been deployed to UK and i'll stay here for at least one year, so it has to go, unfortunately.
At the moment the vehicle is in storage in Ohio, but i'll take care of the shipping. Let me know if you're interested.

He did know what engine was in it.

it has a 1HDT diesel engine. "The 1HD-T is a 4.2 L (4164 cc) straight-6 SOHC turbocharged diesel engine of direct injection design. Output is 164 hp (121 kW) at 3600 rpm with 267 lb·ft (361 N·m) of torque at 2000 rpm."

True. A 1997 HDJ81 in the states is impossible, but a FZJ80 with a swap is not.

That said, if someone were to pull it off that cleanly they should be charging $30,000 for it.
If it has the steering wheel on the left hand side, then is a HDJ80, the 81 is right hand side...that said, the pic looks legit, check the plate it should be a H151F transmission...also, check the radiator...
Guys, a 1HD-T engine will cost about 8K or 9K...a transmission is about 1.5K (with the transfer) so..costs alone is like 10K and that is without shipping!!! Is all iron, so you guess how much is it...now...a 1HD-FT will be 12K...if you can get the 1HD-FTE, well your guess is as good as mine...currently I have a HDJ80 with an A442F stock...I also live in Latin America (no 80% bondo on my rig) is a 1995 model, no factory lockers, no ABS, no fulltime, DUAL FUEL tanks, dual A/C, no fridge and I am the second owner (14 years with me)...If you are lucky enough to get a diesel one, is pure low end, perfect for your rock crawling needs, will speed up to 110 mph (mine did) but do not recomend it.
That said...the pic LOOKS legit, as for the car to exist is something else...

Sorry, just took a look at the pic, it IS a conversion, the dash has the PRND2L and has the dual measurements (miles and kilometers)

Max torque is reached a 1400RPM

Any toolbag answering emails or messages from civilians and signing with their rank and name is not a real military member. At least none of the guys I ever served with would ever do that, my two cents
