My daughter and I rode klunkers to the beach when I visited her over the weekend. Sunset wasn't bad here, either. (Cycling content: Check out the Campagnolo T-shirt 15 years older than she is)
We've been doing some packing today, and she'd got the bike helmets out and made me put hers on her, and then she got mine, and made me put mine on!
The other day my cycling shoes were lying around, so she put them on... size 47s... bit big for a 22 month old!
She is getting happier on a balance bike as well, so there is hope there as well... or at least when she concentrates...
That's so awesome. Enjoy every second of it. Always encourage. Balance bikes are the best bike innovation in the last 20 years.
Everyone rode from as early as possible in our house, but mountain biking was great for the daughter in the pic when she was a teenager. Fitness, self confidence, bad-assery, new friend circles (the tattoo-ites, the baggies, the slick-skins, the pro girls). She's pretty much moved-on to rock climbing as far as her go-to activity in her mid-20s, but we still shred together every chance we get.
There's a whole lot of fancy bikes and famous riders floating about for the world cup dh this weekend, but this has been my pick for favourite bike I've seen so far. So cool, looked brand new!
