destins 1964 fj40 FST restore thread

IT LIVES!!!!



So the problem was not the pump after all, but a air leak from the glass bowl fuel filter.
Popped it off and put a temp inline filter on for no, will fix the seal and put the stock one on later

Tapped the top of the carb to unstick the float and boom!
Runs like butter

Thanks to Shane and everyone else for all the info and encouragement
And thanks Bill for the fuel pump!

So tomorrow bleeding the brakes and the clutch and it will be road worthy

I will post up some more photos tomorrow

found a dope rubber mat place, the even have the pyramid rubber

heading there now to get running board stuff and for the back of the bed

I have like a 3x3 foot chunk left.
Stuff is pretty cheap, i can send ya guys some pieces if ya need it if ya cover shipping

With all your attention to stock detail, I am surprised to see you go with the black and not the stock white...don't get me wrong, they look snazzy, just surprised

I didnt think about that......Just hate all those holes on the top in a stock bumper......
