Recently desmogged with a Trollhole carb, all vacuum connections hooked up as indicated in the sketches in this thread. AI system removed, and vacuum to the EGR system was removed. BSVS 2 is capped, and BSVS 1 is routed to the VCV.
It now takes a long time to warm up, and even when fully warm the temp is still below where it used to be before the desmog. It used to take about one mile to warm up and now takes about 5 or more. This is problematic because it stumbles and runs rough during this time, and will occasionally turn off when coming to a stop. 5 miles of driving with the choke does not seem right.
The carb likely needs adjusted, and I will continue tweaking it, but would a poorly adjusted carb affect operating temp or warm up time? I assume not. I did not remove the coolant or the thermostat, and never had any heating/cooling issues before. Any thoughts welcome! Thanks!
