Dont forget about your A/C components that are right behind the OEM front bumper. You will not be happy if you get that dryer stuck on a rock. Does your right side slider have some kind of CAT protection? Thats a rough one too. Center skidplate is a much needed armor location as well.

UFGatorLC - I work in Boca, and live in Aventura so I have a nice commute for a month or so as I plan on moving to Boyton Beach.. Let me know when the next meet is would love to come hang out.. Any plans this weekend?

Yes, very true. I'll take a picture and post what 40TUDE did for that bumper I bought off him - probably some of the best A/C drier protection I've ever seen. And yes, CAT protection as well... he did a really good job on both.

I do need additional armor... but I have a friend who can fab that up for me for cheap. Just need to get out to him!

Looks like you are good to go!

Greetings from S.FL

Hey guys, long time MUD member but new to the S. Florida area. I live in Aventura or North Miami. Just moved up from Colombia where I had my 90 series Prado. Just purchased my 96 LX, have some plans for it, for now just want to say hello. If anyone in the area wants to meet up or go wheeling let me know.

Cheers

Frank;p

Frank, welcome!

Nice looking trucks - I'm jealous!

All of these recent posts got me thinking we should plan some kind of Florida cruiser get-together.

I would have to agree!! TTORA has some GTG they always welcomed Landcruisers.. Anyone know anybody at TTORA?

Ha, I do the pretty much the opposite - live in Pompano and work in Hollywood. No plans yet, possibly some work on the house Saturday and some boating Sunday but up in the air. I'd love to head to Bear Island but don't want to lose a whole day this weekend (lots to get done before relatives in town end of month). If there is something closer I may be up for some wheeling on Saturday. Let me know!

Hello Frank!

A Florida get together sounds like a great idea. Let's put it together!

Hey I will be working on my rig this weekend, if you wanna come by and help. I will be doing a full tuneup and suspension install.

Looks like the weather AND gas prices could be positives for GSMTR. I'm looking at an estimated $50 savings in gas due to the prices dropping a bit over the last few weeks, and it might go further south - perhaps hit $3.50/gal soon.

Weather is holding steady around mid-80's for a high, mid 50's for a low.

Man I wish I was able to head up there!! We've been looking online at some property a bit west of where this will be, now I am really tempted to try to find something up there!

PM me with your info and when you think you will work on it. If I can get out of the house for a couple hours I'll see if I can give you a hand.

OK , It's here the 10 day count down . Time to really start thinking about and gathering the things needed for GSMTR . Time to check trailer tires , bearings , brakes , lights if you are towing , don't forget the tow rig . If you are driving your rig make sure you check the same plus fluids .

Archie have we got a time set and meeting place yet ? I think the NEW truck stop on the west side of 75 would be the easiest to get in and out of . It's the one we went to across from the GTO guns and airboat building last Turkey Trot .
It's a good place to top off fuel tanks and stomach's if needed .

If anyone knows anyone that wants to go but needs a ride , let us know . I know of a couple of open seats both for the ride up and once we hit the trails .

Please post up if you have any questions or cocerns .
Hope to see all soon.

I was headed to the junkyard to find a York

I got an extra. You wouldn't happen to have an extra 60 gas tank, would ya?

Well my brother's 60 is about 50 ft from my house...no I don't have one. How much do you want for it? Double v belt pulley?
