Thank you Tom for your advice.Hello lgs924,
I know I've responded to a similar thread before
My daily driver is an 07 GX (VVT-i) and I also own / drive a 03 LX (Not VVT-i).
The decision is completely yours (obviously) and should depend on what you want to use it for.
My GX is considerably more nimble / faster than the LX.
But, if you are looking at a 06 or 07 LX / LC with more power than my 03 LX, the power factor won't be as extreme.
But still, your GX will be faster / more nimble than any LC / LX you buy.
I'd highly recommend test driving several LC / LXs before making a decision.
100 Series with AHC has a nicer ride than non-AHC (all AHC haters please chime in...).
AHC (Hydraulic Suspension) adds some complexity, but many of us think the smooth ride outweighs the complexity.
Both have great build quality.
In my experience, there's more LC / LX expertise and involvement on the forums (especially this one...) than GX / 4R expertise / involvement.
Good luck with your decision.
If you have the room, you could just add to your stable and buy an older (less expensive...) 100 Series!
Enjoy.
Tom
I want to switch to the lc for a few reasons honestly. The look I think is better compared to the metal bumper etc I have currently on my gx. I am eyeing up a sand gold for 22k with perfect maintenance and I think it would be a seamless transfer of cars. I would have to fork up a couple of my own dollars for it however but I think all in all it would be a better car. It is 2007 so it does have the additional power so I think it won’t be a noticeable change.
