reconnoiter: to make a reconnaissance

As for your question regarding Saturday. I'm hoping they hit the trails around 9:30 or 10:00 as I will be driving in on Saturday as well.

We've resorted to pointing out spelling mistakes? :crybaby: So I had an extra "n", remember I grew up in the Lawrence area. (where's Craig?)

So to sum up, we're camping in the same spot as last year?

Bumper

If anyone has a spare ARB FJ60 bumper laying around, just bring it with to DSR.

I'll be bumperless up front, so need to stay off the ledges.

If work allows, we will pull in fairly late tonight, or at least for the day tomorrow.

If anyone's interested, found a map of the park that looks pretty good. I printed some off and will bring extras jik.

Also, a family from KC will be coming out to wheel and meet the group. Maybe letting Rob lead isn't the best idea since he has an uncontrollable attraction to very deep mud :D

Safe trick 'r treating, see ya there!

It was great to meet everyone this weekend. We had had a great time and hope to be able to come to other things also. We took a few pictures and I will slowly post some up. But I had to post this one first. Sorry Jake

Clean

That's the split second before he got really really dirty.

We had a great time. I think Terrie is hooked. Great seeing and wheeling with y'all again.

What a great weekend...needless to say I'm wiped out. I'll get my pics posted up this week.

IF anyone found an unclaimed blue camp chair that would be mine.

Mike C. - pass on to your bro-in-law that the tree that got his door also got my front fender on Sunday.

Randy, I have your chair. Lets see how to get it back to you.

As for damage, I also got my first dent. The passenger fender got creased.

Thanks for grabbing it for me. I'm in no hurry...I have plenty of chairs. Just hang on to it for me...I'm sure we will meet up sometime in the near future.

Sorry to hear about the dent...:crybaby:

Like I told Mark and Kim ..... Body damage is like tatoo's but with better stories!

So Randy, did ya make the blue paint off the tree or cover it with grey? :hillbilly:

Brian, I was about Junction City when I realized I had forgot to throw it in the truck.... Sorry man, I'll get to ya.

We all (except Kim) had a great time!!! I sure missed wheelin' this past year! Kim, even after riding with me, swears she won't go out again. This is actually kinda funny since she was always the dare-devil between she and Debi. Little Mark had a blast and was ready to go again Sunday morning and Holley is still MAD at me because we had to leave early (she has really missed wheelin' too!). It was great to see everyone again and I can't wait to get the 40 rebuilt and back on the trail.

What a great group of guys and gals! I had no idea what to expect, having spent most of the last 4 years wheeling several times a year by myself.

This was my first organized group event, albeit very brief, I had a ball with you guys.

Now that I kind of see how it works, I hope to wheel with you guys again. LOL even if it is in the nonLandcruiser low rider of the bunch. :)

My wife and I took some pictures of you guys.

Personally I liked Mike's quote after Wally blasted up the slick clay incline. "That was a complete disregard for body panels" :D

Great pictures, and video.

Straight body panels are an indication of anal retentativeness. :grinpimp:

If I had started walking sideways in either of those slick spots I would have shut it down!

Nothing like a little drama, or a winch fest.

Video

Here is video evidence of my encounter with "the" tree. I left some grey paint on top of the blue paint left the day before by Mike's bro-in-law.

Be sure to listen for Rob's smart arse remark near the end :flipoff2:
